Nothing says Christmas more than a traditional glazed ham. It’s the mouthwatering centrepiece of any festive lunch celebration. To help you celebrate this season, we’ve got some beautiful St Bernard’s Free Range Hams ready in store. The below recipe is quick and easy and is sure to make your ham a Christmas favourite year after year.
Ingredients
- 5 kg cooked ham
- Cloves
- 6 tablespoons orange marmalade
- 6 tablespoons honey
- 6 tablespoons dijon mustard
- 170ml bourbon
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 160oC for conventional or 140oC for fan-forced.
Step 2
Cut the rind off the cooked ham, leaving the fat underneath, and place ham in a roasting tin.
Step 3
Score the fat with a knife in a diamond pattern, making sure not to cut through to the meat.
Step 4
Stick a clove into the centre of each diamond.
Step 5
Mix the marmalade, honey, mustard and bourbon in a bowl to form your glaze.
Step 6
Apply approx. 1/3 of the glaze to the ham using a pastry brush.
Step 7
Bake the ham for approx. 25 minutes.
Step 8
Remove ham and apply half of the remaining glaze.
Step 9
Bake the ham for a further 25 minutes.
Step 10
Remove ham and apply all of the remaining glaze.
Step 11
Bake the ham for a further 25 minutes.
Step 12
Remove ham and allow to rest for 15-20 minutes before serving.
