Peter Augustus Hit the Pits at Meatstock Toowoomba
Fire, premium Australian beef, live music and serious barbecue. Peter Augustus joined Meatstock Toowoomba for a weekend celebrating the craft behind great meat.
Where Barbecue Takes Centre Stage
Meatstock Toowoomba brought together pitmasters, butchers, food lovers, competitors and barbecue fans at the Toowoomba Showgrounds.
Peter Augustus was there as the showcase for Stanbroke's premium Australian beef, giving visitors a closer look at the quality, provenance and craftsmanship behind the cuts.
Meet the Butchers Behind the Beef
Meatstock gave customers the chance to meet the Peter Augustus team outside the butcher shop and talk beef face to face.
Visitors could talk through different cuts, marble scores and which beef best suits steak night, barbecue or low-and-slow cooking.
From searing a steak to managing richer Wagyu, the team shared practical advice for getting more from premium beef.
Meatstock was also a chance to explain the Stanbroke story and the journey behind the beef that reaches Peter Augustus customers.
Peter Augustus x King of the Grill
One of the highlights of the weekend was the King of the Grill competition, with Peter Augustus supplying premium beef for some of the country's top barbecue competitors.
The competition put the Diamantina and Stanbroke beef range exactly where it belongs: over fire, in the hands of skilled cooks and under serious competition pressure.
It wasn't simply about cooking a steak. Competitors had to manage tenderness, rendering, seasoning, smoke, heat and presentation to get the best result from every cut.
